Troubleshooting the Atellica® Sample Handler Connect Online Training Version 1.25 and Below

Troubleshooting the Sample Handler Connect (SHC) Tasks involved in troubleshooting the SHC: Unlock and open the SHC cover Remove the SHC Atellica Magline Transport cover Remove a tube from the grippers Remove debris and clean spills Inspect gripper tips and replace if needed Clear carrier jams Install SHC Atellica Magline Transport cover and resume Atellica Magline Transport Close and lock SHC cover, and resume SHC Introduction Atellica Sample Handler Connect errors can be caused by several hardware issues, including tubes stuck in the grippers, obstructions and spills, and carrier jams. There are several tasks that the operator can perform to troubleshooting these issues. This video will show you how to perform these common troubleshooting tasks. Unlock and Open the SHC Cover Unlock and Open SHC Cover Remove the SHC Atellica Magline Transport Cover Remove SHC Atellica Magline Transport Cover Remove Tube from SHC Grippers Remove Tube from Grippers Remove Debris and Clean Spills Remove Debris and Clean Spills Inspect the area around the Sample Handler Connect and the Atellica Magline Transport to check for spills or dropped sample containers. As appropriate, follow the steps to open the Sample Handler Connect cover and/or remove the Atellica Magline Transport cover to access the spill. If there are any dropped sample containers, remove them from the system. Clean the area if appropriate by first wiping the area with lint-free tissues or gauze saturated with a 10% bleach solution. Then wipe the area with lint-free tissues or gauze saturated with reagent water. And dry the area thoroughly with clean lint-free tissues or gauze. After completing any additional troubleshooting steps as appropriate, follow the steps to close the Sample Handler cover and/or reinstall the Atellica Magline Transport cover. Inspect SHC Gripper Tips and Replace If Needed Inspect Gripper Pads and Replace if Needed Clear Carrier Jams Clear Carrier Jams Install SHC Atellica Magline Transport Cover and Resume Install SHC Atellica Magline Transport Cover and Resume Close and Lock the SHC Cover, and Resume SHC Close and Lock SHC Cover, and Resume SHC You have now completed Troubleshooting the Atellica® Sample Handler Connect.
