Start Up There are no additional start-up tasks required to establish communication between the ADVIA Centaur® XP system and the VersaCell™ On the VersaCell™, the ADVIA Centaur® XP Instrument Status will be a white "Ready" if the system is ready to start processing samples When the first sample is sent from the VersaCell™ to the Interface Wheel, the ADVIA Centaur® XP system will automatically do a prime before the first sample is pipetted Select Next to continue.   As teclas adicionais estão disponíveis no touchscreen para ajudar na navegação do software. Running Controls Control samples should be placed on the ADVIA Centaur® XP system and ordered using the Worklist Schedule screen in the ADVIA Centaur® XP software. Unresulted control test orders do not display on the VersaCell™ LIS screen.  The test appears on the VersaCell™ LIS screen when it results. The operator must monitor the status of in progress control test orders from the ADVIA Centaur® XP software. Select Next to continue.   Control Bracketing Learn how status information displays for assays that require control bracketing. The ADVIA Centaur® XP control bracketing feature remains unchanged when the ADVIA Centaur® XP system is connected to a VersaCell™.  The ADVIA Centaur® XP system does not process HIV patient samples until it has acceptable results for the start-of-bracket controls and does not generate HIV patient sample results until it has acceptable results for the end-of-bracket controls. If the VersaCell™ sends the ADVIA Centaur® XP system an HIV test order and the ADVIA Centaur® XP system does not have acceptable results for open bracket controls, the ADVIA Centaur® XP system will not process those test orders and an order error will appear on the VersaCell™. HIV tests will continue to have a status of "In Progress" until the ADVIA Centaur® XP system has acceptable results for the close bracket controls because the ADVIA Centaur® XP system will not generate results for those samples until the control bracket is closed.   When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue. There are certain operator errors that are unique to the connection of the VersaCell™ to an ADVIA Centaur® XP system: Inventory Errors Order Errors Errors Requiring the Use of the SEND Button on the Tube Status screen Instrument Status Messages Learn about different Instrument Status messages that can display. The ADVIA Centaur® XP instrument Status Bar on the VersaCell™ can display the following status messages: Yellow Warning Status Indicates a warning condition is occurring on the ADVIA Centaur® XP system (for example, that one of the waste containers is getting full or one of the fluids bottles is using the reservoir). The ADVIA Centaur® XP system can continue to run tests, but conditions exist that require operator intervention.  The operator can use VNC to investigate the problem using the ADVIA Centaur® XP software. Red Error Stop Status Displays if one of the ADVIA Centaur® XP subsystems is offline, or if the ADVIA Centaur® XP emergency stop was selected. The operator can use VNC to investigate the problem using the ADVIA Centaur® XP software.   When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue. ADVIA Centaur® XP tests will only post Inventory Errors on the VersaCell™ in the case where the primary reagent is running low, or is empty or missing. All other ADVIA Centaur® XP test errors, including any problems with the ancillary reagent, will be posted as Order Errors.   Inventory Alarms Learn about how to configure Inventory Alarms on the VersaCell™. The VersaCell™ can be configured to alert the operator when the ADVIA Centaur® XP system is running low on reagents.  Once a reagent pack level is lower than the alarm limit, an Inventory Error posts on the VersaCell™. To access this setting, from the VersaCell™ Configurations menu bar, select System Configurations and then select Display Options. When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue. Inventory Errors Learn how to troubleshoot ADVIA Centaur® XP Inventory Errors. Checklist TitleChecklist TypeChecklist ContentRecognize indications of an Inventory ErrorHTMLSelect each checkbox to learn more about troubleshooting Inventory Errors. There are several ways to identify an Inventory Error using the VersaCell screens: The tube will appear as a dark blue color on the Drawer screen The Inventory Errors button at the bottom of the screen will be red The Sample Errors button at the bottom of the screen will be red. Within the Sample Errors screen, an Inventory Error will be listed Select the Inventory Errors button.HTML On the Inventory Errors screen, if a primary reagent is low, the test name will be shown in yellow. If the primary reagent is empty, the test name will be displayed in red if there is a pending test order for that test.Correct the Inventory ErrorHTML The specific problem can be determined by using the information in the Inventory Errors screen combined with information on the Primary Reagent screen on the ADVIA Centaur® XP system. The VersaCell automatically resends the tube.HTML Once the Inventory Error is corrected, the VersaCell™ automatically resends the sample tube to the Interface Wheel for processing. On the Drawer screen, the tube status will change from No Inventory to Waiting, and then to In Progress and Transfer Complete. When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue. When an ADVIA Centaur® XP test has an Order Error posted on the VersaCell™, it means that the ADVIA Centaur® XP system cannot run the test or the VersaCell™ did not receive the results in the expected time frame. One example of an order error that can occur for the ADVIA Centaur® XP system is an error involving the ancillary reagents, which would post as an Order Error instead of an Inventory Error for ADVIA Centaur® XP tests.     Order Errors Learn how to troubleshoot Order Errors. Checklist TitleChecklist TypeChecklist ContentRecognize indications of an Order ErrorHTMLSelect each checkbox to learn more about troubleshooting Order Errors. There are several ways to identify an Order Error using the VersaCell™ screens: The tube will appear as a lavender color on the Drawer screen The Order Errors button at the bottom of the screen will be red The Sample Errors button at the bottom of the screen will be red.
