Using Virtual Workstation Job Aid VF10 Software Upgrade Target Group  IT Administrators Application  If licensed, it is possible to start a Windows 10® Virtual Machine  Enables access to a RIS client, a PACS client, EMR application, or image postprocessing software using the same monitor  Saves space by eliminating the need for an additional monitor  To ensure that the modality has no performance problems, there are the following re- source limitations: o One core on the CPU, 4GB of RAM and disc space o No access to external devices like a printer or USB memory stick via the modality (except the DVD drive) o No memory is configurable in user settings Configuration  Configure the DNS server of the institution in order to use the Virtual Workstation as a RIS/PACS terminal o Open the Windows Settings of the guest system o Select Network & Internet o Click Ethernet and then Change adapter options o Double-click Ethernet 3 (name of the Ethernet adapter for the guest system) o Select Properties on the General tab card o Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) on the Networking tab card and open it by clicking on Properties o On the General tab card, select Use the following DNS server addresses Then, fill in the address of the DNS server o Note: Do not change the IP address, Subnet mask, or Default gateway SIEMENS Healthineers Effective Date: 10/01/2018 | HOOD05162002943944 siemens.com/healthineers Job Aid | Virtual Workstation Effective Date: 10/01/2018 | HOOD05162002943944  When clicking on the button for the virtual machine, the integrated Windows 10 window opens when the 3rd party software is available 1. Open User Settings 2. In the configuration for Virtual Machine install mode, select the device for access to the virtual machine 3.
