Welcome to the Urinalysis WAM Software Results Management Online Training course. During this course you will become familiar with how to manage patient results using WAM. Identify steps to validate results Open Validate Urine Results from the WAM main screen Review results status by referring to the color coding legend on the Results Validation screen Add a Rerun or manual microscopic to those samples that require further review Validate the results and then save the validated results by selecting the green check mark on the menu panel or select F4  Create Workorders in WAM  The Enter Order screen is available for entering orders directly into Urinalysis WAM in the event that the LIS cannot generate the orders that are sent to WAM before samples are run on the system.  Sample ID and test requests must be added to the work order Locate Unregistered samples Samples appear in Unregistered when there is no work order received from the LIS. The samples remain in this file until they are linked to a work order. Link samples to a work order in Query or Unregistered. Identify steps to resend a sample to the LIS The Resend Selection to LIS functionality is used to resend Sample ID results to the LIS if the LIS has not received the results or The user wants to force the results to the LIS prior to full validation of all results for that sample. Resend sample ID in Query by selecting Resend to LIS Identify CLINITEK Atlas barcode misread errors Locate the misread sample in Barcode Error The results are linked to the work order when the ID is corrected The rules are applied when the ID is corrected It may take up to five minutes for the results to integrate into WAM Select Next to continue. The key steps to reviewing results from both the CLINITEK Atlas analyzer and the Sysmex UF-1000i™ analyzer in the Validate Urine Results screen include. Open the Validate Urine Results screen Review the results status Add a Rerun or a manual microscopic Validate and save Results Validation Learn how to validate results using the WAM software. Note: If audio does not automatically start, select the play arrow in the top left to begin.Open Validate Urine results from the main menu screen in WAM.2 Validate Results   Select All Types on the criteria screen to view a list of all samples that need to be validated.       Select Next to continue. Select All Types to view all samples or enter a sample ID to view the results for one sample only.3 Validate Results   Review the sample information at the top of the screen for any operator alerts.       Select Next to continue. Review the information at the top of the screen for any operator alerts such as perform manual microscopic, RBC flag present, and crosscheck.4 Validate Results    Add a rerun.       Select Next to continue. For samples that need to be repeated select Rerun and then Add. Select save and exit and then send the sample through the UF-1000i analyzer again. Return to this screen after the results cross to the WAM to validate the run to be sent to the LIS. 5 Validate Results   Select Run 1 or Run 2 Select F4 to save the selection     Select Next to continue. After rerunning a sample select the run to be sent to the LIS by choosing either the Run 1 or Run 2 button. Select F4 to save the selection.6 Validate Results   Add a manual microscopic.       Select Next to continue. To add a manual microscopic select Micro and then Add. The fields to enter the results for the manual microscopic appear on this screen.7 Validate Results   Add a comment by:   Clicking once in the comment cell and free texting the comment or Double clicking on the cell, type F3 to view a list, select the comment and then F4 to save the selection     Select Next to continue. Comments are added by selecting a cell in the comment column. Click once to free text a comment or double click to select a predefined comment. 8 Validate Results   Select Validate All.       Select Next to continue. When the results are ready to be accepted select Validate All. This selection accepts the results for this sample only. The background for each result turns grey.9 Validate Results   Select the green checkmark to Save and Exit. When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue. Select the next sample in the list to be validated. When all samples have been accepted select the green check on the Menu Panel bar to save and exit. Results will now transmit to the LIS. Results Status Learn about results status. Result status is available on the Query screen in the R_St column. Identify the status of the CLINITEK Atlas or Sysmex UF-1000i results based on the number or numbers displayed in this column.   Number Status 0 Pending order, no results available 1 Results available but not validated 4 Results validated but not sent to the LIS 5 Results sent to the LIS When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue.   The Enter Order screen is available for entering orders directly into the Urinalysis WAM software in the event that the LIS cannot generate the orders that are sent to WAM before samples are run on the system.  The required fields that must be completed when entering orders are:  Sample ID Test Requests Create Workorders Learn about creating work orders. Sample ID and tests are required fields when creating a work order. Type in the sample ID and then tab or select another field. If the sample ID field goes blank then the order already exists.3 Create Work Orders The entry of demographic information is optional. If there are rules based on criteria like age, location, or doctor, then the demographics need to be entered here in order for those rules to apply. Select Next to continue. Work orders are created based on the criteria customized in the rules. If there are rules based on criteria such as age, location, or doctor, then the demographics need to be entered here in order for those rules to apply. 4 Create Work Orders   Select the tests that need to be ordered for the sample. Macro for tests to be run on the CLINITEK Atlas analyzer UF-1000i for tests to be run on the Sysmex UF 1000i system Micro to add a manual microscopic to the order Select Next to continue. There are three options when selecting the tests for the work order. Select Macro to order tests for the Clinitek Atlas analyzer and select UF1000 to add those tests to be processed by the UF-1000i analyzer. This will force the UF-1000i analyzer to run this sample regardless of the rules. And finally, Micro is selected if the manual microscopic needs to be added.5 Create Work Orders Select the selp bar on the left and then Type the letter c.   Select Next to continue. Select the selp bar on the left. The bar turns yellow to indicate the active field. Type in the letter c.6 Create Work Orders   Select the Orig field and enter LIS here. Then select F4 to save the entry.   Select Next to continue. In this window type the letters L I S into the Orig field and then F4 to save. As an alternate to typing, you can also double click on the Orig box and then double click on LIS which appears in the list. This forces LIS to appear in the Orig box.7 Create Work Orders   Select Save.   Select Next to continue. Select Save. The fields clear in preparation for the next work order.8Create Work Orders When all orders are completed select Quit. When the message "Really quit without saving these requests" appears select Yes.     When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue. When all orders are completed select Quit. When the message "Really quit without saving these requests" appears select Yes. Results for samples run on the CLINITEK Atlas analyzer sampler unit or Sysmex UF-1000i analyzer sampler unit with barcode misread errors can be sent to WAM. When the sample ID is corrected: The results are linked to the workorder The rules are applied It may take up to five minutes for the results to integrate into WAM Barcode Error Learn about working with barcode errors. Rack and position number are also associated with each sample indicating the location of the sample.  Edit Correct Sample IDHTML Backspace out the ERR sample ID and replace it by typing in the correct sample ID.  Save and ExitHTML Press F4 to Save and Exit. Edit OrigHTML Add LIS to the Orig field by either typing in LIS or by double clicking on the box and then double clicking on LIS.  Save OriginHTML Select F4 to save.  Select Save and ExitHTML LIS appears in the LIS column. Select the green check to save and exit. The sample is now moved out of unregistered. When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue.
