Describe the steps to perform a QC test Identify maintenance tasks List the steps to perform a Patient test Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to: Congratulations. You have completed the Xprecia Stride™ Coagulation Analyzer Routine Operations Online Training course. Listed below are the key points that have been presented. Take time to review the material before you proceed to the final quiz. Describe the steps to perform a QC test    Performing a Quality Control test on the Xprecia Stride™ coagulation analyzer includes: Reconstituting the control solution Applying the control solution Discarding the test strip Scanning test strip information Cleaning the analyzer Viewing the test results    Reconstituting the control solution Use transfer pipette to combine the entire volume of 1 vial of reconstitution buffer into 1 control vial. Mix carefully, by swirling the bottle using a circular motion, to completely dissolve all of the control plasma inside. Close the bottle and allow it to sit for at least 5 minutes at 15-25°C (59-77°F). Gently swirl the bottle again prior to use. List the steps to perform a patient test    Performing a patient test on the Xprecia Stride™ coagulation analyzer includes: Preparing the patient to collect a blood sample Scanning and inserting the test strip Viewing the test results Cleaning the analyzer Applying the patient sample Entering an Operator ID (OID) and Patient ID (PID) Discarding the test strip    Patient collection methods include: Fingerstick sample collection (apply blood to the test strip within 15 seconds of lancing the finger tip) Identify maintenance tasks    The Xprecia Stride™ coagulation analyzer maintenance includes: Changing the batteries Changing the test strip port protective cap Cleaning and disinfecting  Select Next to continue. Performing a patient test on the Xprecia Stride™ coagulation analyzer includes: Preparing the patient to collect a blood sample Entering an Operator ID (OID) and Patient ID (PID) Scanning and inserting the test strip Applying the patient sample Viewing the test results Discarding the test strip Cleaning the analyzer Patient Collection Method Select this link to learn about the patient collection method. Fingerstick sample collection method To stick the finger, firmly place the lancet against the finger and press the lancet trigger. Gently squeeze from the base of the finger to form a round drop of blood. Apply the drop of blood to the test strip within 60 seconds of sticking the finger tip. Requirement: The drop of blood should be about the same size as the test strip target area (minimum of 6 µL in volume). When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue.  Performing a Patient Test Select this link to learn more about performing a patient test. Mix carefully, by swirling the vial using a circular motion, to completely dissolve all of the control plasma inside. Do not shake and avoid foam formation. Close the reconstituted mixed vial and allow it to stand for at least 5 minutes at 15-25°C (59-77°F). Gently swirl the bottle again prior to use.   Select Next to continue. To reconstitute the control solution, use one transfer pipette to combine the entire volume of 1 vial of reconstitution buffer into the control vial. Mix carefully, by swirling and allow the closed vial to stand for at least 5 minutes at room temperature. Gently swirl the vial again prior to use. Select next to continue. 3 Prior to Performing a QC Test Have the test strip vial and vial lot information on the vial available. Reconstituted control solution vial available. Tip: When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue. Prior to performing a liquid QC test, have the test strips and liquid control solution vials available. The lot number is printed on the 2D barcode on the side of the respective vial. Now you are ready to perform a QC test on the Xprecia Stride™ coagulation analyzer.
