Ysio Max -- A General Overview

The Ysio table and wall stand will allow you to perform table and wall bucky patient exams. In this training, you will see several features that will assist with patient positioning, comfort, and safety, as well as the movements and controls for the table and wall stand, specifications, and cleaning and disinfecting recommendations.

Ysio Max Table and Wallstand General Overview You should now be able to: Identify the features of the Ysio Max table and wall stand Describe and illustrate table weight limits, cleaning and disinfecting Describe the uses and functions of the wall stand Demonstrate proper changing of the wireless detector batteries Demonstrate correct attachment and detachment of a wireless detector Demonstrate proper attachment of the grid to the wireless detectors Identify and utilize table accessories and safety equipment Table weight limit  - cleaning/disinfecting procedures Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to: Identify the features of the Ysio Max table and wall stand Describe and illustrate table weight limits, cleaning and disinfecting Describe the uses and functions of the wall stand Demonstrate proper changing of the wireless detector batteries Demonstrate correct attachment and detachment of a wireless detector Demonstrate proper attachment of the grid to the wireless detectors Identify and utilize table accessories and safety equipment                                                 Bucky wallstand, bucky tray, and wall stand hand-held control (optional) Image acquisition for patients in the upright position (chest X-rays, cervical spines, upright abdomens, and standing knees). Wireless detector - 14" x 17" Fixed detector - 16.8" x 16.8" The wallstand hand-held control can be mounted on either side of the wallstand and has the following functions: collimator light switch centering button tracking button a Parking function Smart Move function Note **It is very important to note that care must be used when moving the tube in this manner. Be sure that the patient, room personnel, or ancillary equipment, like wheelchairs and IV poles, will not be in the way when moving the tube automatically with the OGP button. Wallstand Hand Held Control Video Wallstand Hand Held Control Video     Patient Stretch Grip and Grip Height adjustment   Ysio and Ysio Max table movements - vertical and horizontal - can be accomplished using foot kick plates or a hand-held control. All Ysio systems have kick plates on the front side of the table. Some Ysio systems have kick plates on the back side of the table to allow table movement control when the front kick plates are not accessible. Table Horizontal Movement Table Horizontal Movement   Table Vertical Movement Table Vertical Movement   Tableside hand-held control - Allows for table horizontal and vertical movement. Functions as the kick plates do. Horizontal float button - Allows manual floating of the tabletop. Vertical up or down buttons - Activates the motorized vertical table movement.  “Dead-man’s function”. Park button - Standard on the Ysio Max system with Aim/Aim Fast.  Moves the x-ray tube to a pre-determined Park position. Operation Press the button.  The green LED will come on.  Press the Smart Move function button to move the tube into Park position.  On Ysio Max systems with Aim, the Park position movement is vertical only.  On Ysio Max systems with Aim Fast, the tube will move to the room-designated park position. Note... Care must be used when moving the tube in this manner. Be sure that the patient, room personnel or ancillary equipment, like wheelchairs and IV poles, will not be in the way when moving the tube automatically with the Smart Move button. The tube will know where the table, wall stand, walls and floor are. It does not know the location of anything else in the room.  Note: Check operator manual for disclaimer content. Park Position Park Position   Tableside OGP Movement Tableside OGP Movement     Max wi-D 14"x17" Can be used for tabletop, table and wallstand bucky, and free exposures Transport handle Max Mini 10"x12" Tabletop or free exposures only 3.5 lbs.   The wireless detectors are designed to be used for table top, table bucky (Max wi-D only), and if configured, wall stand exposures (Max wi-D only).  The wireless detector is your image receptor, so it should be handled like a notebook computer. Best practices are as follows: When the Max wi-D is not in use, it should be placed in the table bucky with the bucky tray pushed all the way in or in the wall stand if configured. This will serve 2 functions:  First, it will protect the Max wi-D from possible damage.  Second, it will keep the battery in the detector charged. When the Max Mini is not in use, it can be turned off or the battery can be removed.  This is because the Max Mini should not be placed in the table or wallstand bucky trays.  Powering down the detector and battery removal will be covered later in this training.  Accessories used with the Max wi-D and Max Mini.    Center the x-ray beam to the center of the grid. Grid specifications located on the front of the grid. Focal range - 115 centimeters, or 45 inches. Use grid at a 45 inch SID. MaxTouch Located on the front of the Ysio overhead x-ray tube. Allows the user to: make changes to technical factors of an organ program, select a different organ program, show the position of the major components of the Ysio system. 2 areas lower half allows for system movements and function controls upper half allows for the user to make technical changes to the organ programs and display system parameter settings. Step 2 - Turn the lock on the lifted handle 90° counterclockwise to the "unlock" position. Step 3 - Lift the battery and remove it from the detector. Step 4 - Place the battery in the charger.  The charging time is 3 hours.  The charge lasts for up to 525 images or 3.5 hours during regular utilization or 6 hours of stand by mode.       Measure SID icon SID Measure SOD icon SOD Calculated magnification factor Allows you to make changes to the organ program technique that is currently selected.   Shows the position of the tube, wall stand and table.    Device Position tab has a function to select or de-select the tube angulation and rotation detent (on automated Ysio Max systems)   When activated, angling the tube back to 0 degrees automatically moves the tube to 0 degrees once the tube angulation is plus or minus 3 degrees.    If detent is switched off, then it is possible to hold a tube angulation or rotation at plus or minus 3 degrees or less. Also applies to rotating or angling the tube plus or minus 90 and 180 degrees.      Block Movement icon - locks the position of the tube, table and wall stand and no movement of any system component   Block Radiation icon - prevents the unintentional or accidental release of radiation.  Deselecting this icon restores the ability to make exposures. Touch screen functions allow the user to select organ programs and utilize tracking functions when using the table bucky. Center field displays patient’s name, date of birth, ID or accession number. Organ programs can be used for your current patient. listed in drop-down menu and can be selected out of order depending on patient mobility Organ programs will have a letter next to it designating tabletop, table bucky, or wall stand operation. Without Aim Fast Table Centering button moves detector tray to center position. With Aim Fast Pressing/holding Table Centering button moves the tube from anywhere in the room to center itself with the bucky tray. The emergency stop button does not  block manual movements. Controls located on both sides of the wallstand   Unidirectional arrows are for up/down motorized movement   Bi-directional arrow is for up/down manual movement   Tilt function allows adjustment to any degree between vertical and horizontal. Can be adjusted all the way to the floor
