This job aid will guide user through how to perform an Ortho Exam at the Wallstand.

YSIO X.pree: Performing Ortho at the Wallstand XPRF Set up 1. In the Scheduler tab, open a patient exam and ensure that the necessary Clinical Protocol Steps are available in the “Assigned Clinical Protocols”. 2. Align the tube with the wallstand at the appropriate SID (180 cm or 300 cm depending on sys- tem set up). If a remote control is available, follow the instructions on the monitor to use the move button to align the tube with the detector, as shown. If no remote control, move the tube into position manually, detent in both directions. Messages (1) Messages (2) -- ........ ............. Push the Ortho Stand up again the Bucky Wallstand and then lock it into place. Position the patient on the stand. 4. Measure the distance from the plexiglass to the center of the patient’s vertebrae (the TOD). 5. There are two workflows for setting the range for the images to be taken: the enhanced work- flow using the 3D camera and setting it manually using the overhead tube. Drag the bottom line to what will be the bottom of the stitched image. If either line turns red, that area is out of the x-ray range – you must move it back into range. The system can acquire up to 4 images per view. Use the “Show More” button to input the measured TOD. Manual Workflow Using the Overhead Tube Angle the overhead tube up and point the laser light to the area that will define the top of the stitched image. Select the icon on the tube indicating the top of the range. Angle the overhead tube down and point the laser light to the area that will define the bottom range of the stitched image. Select the icon on the tube indicating the bottom of the range. Use the TOD drop down to enter the measured TOD. On the right side of the camera view, you will see circles with numbers that indicate the num- ber of images that will be needed. Select each number to see the technical factors being used for each image. Following the directions on the bottom left of the monitor, engage your exposure button half- way to allow the tube and detector to move into place. Messages (1) Press precontact to move to start position 3. Once the tube and detector are in place, another message will appear guiding you to tell the patient to hold still and then to release the acquisition (press the exposure button down com- pletely to begin imaging). The messages will inform you when each image is taken. Hold the button down until the images are done and the tube and detector are back in the starting po- sition.
