In addition, it may be necessary to dilute a sample because the results are beyond the linear range of the method. These procedures will be discussed in this course. System-performed dilutions are performed by the instrument using an onboard diluent. Dilution profiles are created in the Profile Summary window in the Setup section of the software. Schedule repeats and replicates Repeats are ordered in the Worklist Summary window by selecting the Repeat button. When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue.   Schedule a System-performed and Manual Dilution Learn how to schedule a system-performed and manual dilution. Checklist TitleChecklist TypeChecklist ContentManually dilute sampleHTML If the patient result exceeds the linearity of the assay with the highest system-performed dilution, you may need to schedule a system-performed dilution on a manually diluted sample.  This most commonly occurs with ThCG.   Note:  Check the Procedural Notes in the IFU of the assay to determine if this type of dilution combination is acceptable.   Begin by manually diluting the patient samples with the appropriate diluent. Do not use the diluent that is currently on the system.   Select each checkbox to learn about scheduling system-performed and manual dilutions.  Schedule the testHTML Open the Worklist Schedule window. Enter a unique SID in the SID field (ex. M544x2). Select the assay.  Schedule Manual DilutionHTML Select the Dilutions button.
