Grasp the top of the fan filter and pull it up and out of the slot. The fan filter is located in the lower area of the back SHC panel 2. Inspect the filter for damage A. If the filter is damaged, it must be discarded and replaced with a spare filter or a new filter B. If the filter is not damaged, clean the filter: 1) Rinse the filter with tap water 2) Tap the filter to remove excess water and let it air dry 3. Reinstall a spare fan filter with the plastic grid facing away from the SHC NOTE: The customer parts kit includes spare fan filters. When cleaning the filter, use a spare filter while the cleaned filter dries. Pause or stop the SHC, and unlock the cover: A. Navigate to the SHC Status screen: System > Status > SHC icon B. Select the Pause or Stop button C. Select the Unlock Front Cover button D. Wait for the lock symbol to change to an unlock symbol 2. Open the SHC cover 4 4  If the cover is not opened within 30 seconds, the cover automatically locks 3. Manually rotate the robot arms so the grippers are easily accessible 4. Visually inspect the 6 gripper tips (3 on each gripper assembly) for any signs of wear or damage *This procedure is continued on the next slide NOTE: Pausing the SHC allows the system to return all SHC samples currently on the Atellica Magline® Transport to the SHC for transfer to the LAS before it enters the Paused state. Stopping the SHC stops the SHC immediately, potentially leaving SHC samples on the Atellica Magline Transport. 4 Effective Date: 3/12/2018 | HOOD05162002822811 Unrestricted © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2018 Atellica® Sample Handler Connect SIEMENS Monthly Maintenance Healthineers Inspect the SHC Robot Gripper Tips (continued) 5. If any gripper tips show signs of wear or damage, replace all 6 gripper tips: A. Place paper towels below the SHC robot grippers to catch any gripper tips that may fall B. Grasp and pull each gripper tip away from the gripper finger so the retaining pin no longer holds the tip in place, and then pull the gripper tip off its gripper finger C. Place a new gripper tip on each of the 6 gripper fingers. Ensure the gripper tip retaining pin fits into the hole on the gripper tip D. Remove the paper towel from below the SHC robot grippers 6. Close the SHC cover 7. Lock the SHC cover by selecting the Lock Front Cover button on the SHC Status screen 8. Start the SHC by selecting the Resume icon on the SHC System Status screen 9.
