Stop the SH and unlock the front cover: A. Navigate to the SH Status screen: System > Status > SH icon B. Select the Stop button C. Select the Unlock Front Cover button D. Wait for the lock symbol to change to an unlock symbol 2. Lift open the SH front cover 3. Manually move the SH robot to the front of the SH. Do not hold the SH robot grippers or push the robot down when moving the robot manually, only move the robot by holding the robot body and keep the robot grippers clear of all obstacles If the robot is out of reach from the front of the SH, open the SH back cover to move the robot into position. *This procedure is continued on the next slide. NOTE: Do not remove or switch sample containers through an open SH cover. Only add or remove sample containers through the SH drawers. NOTE: Pausing the SH allows the system to complete all tests currently in process. Manually raise the gripper assembly and hold it in place to access the O- rings 5. Visually inspect all 4 O-rings for any signs of wear or damage 6. If any of the O-rings show signs of wear or damage, replace all 4 O-rings: A. Remove all racks from the sample drawers, and place paper towels below the robot grippers to catch any O-rings that may fall B. Grasp and pull each of the 4 gripper O-rings off its gripper finger. Dispose of the old O-rings per laboratory protocol C. Place a new O-ring on each of the 4 gripper fingers D. Remove the paper towel from below the SH robot gripper 7. Close the SH front cover (and close the SH back cover, if appropriate) 8. Lock the SH front cover by selecting the Lock Front Cover button on the Sample Handler Status screen (and lock the SH back cover, if appropriate) 9. Start the SH by selecting the Resume icon on the SH System Status screen 10.
