Recommend creating an LIS Downtime Plan that may include: • Manual/batch patient ordering (see slides 4-6 for more information) • Importing the worklist (see slide 7 for more information) • Options for printing barcodes (see slide 8 for more information) • Using printed reports (see slide 9 for more information) Up Down Up If the SH and/or Magline are down, samples cannot be loaded in the SH. Use Emergency Sample Load (ESL) feature to manually run tubes at the analyzer. (see slide 10 for more information) Down Down Up If both the LIS and SH/Magline are down: • Use your LIS downtime plan for ordering/managing results (see above) • Use the ESL to load samples Up Up Intermittent Down Periodically the analyzer may be down or offline. The operator will wait to load tubes, or tubes will wait in the Sample Hander. No additional action needed. This is To enter ESL mode on the system: intended for urgent care tests, it is not recommended to be used for your entire work load. 1. Stop the Atellica Magline Transport 2. Select Enter Emergency Sample Load > Yes After the system enters ESL mode, the operator controls the system from the appropriate analyzer module display. The system provides all instructions for how to use ESL mode on the module display. Calibrators, capillary tubes, and false bottom tubes cannot be run using ESL.
