Cleaning the Waste Area on the Atellica® IM Analyzer Job Aid Version 1.25 and Below

This job aid provides instructions on how to perform the as needed maintenance task of cleaning the waste area on the Atellica® IM Analyzer.

Atellica® IM Analyzer SIEMENS Cleaning Waste Area Job Aid Healthineers Cleaning the IM Waste Area involves cleaning the Sample Tip Waste Area and cleaning the Cuvette Waste Area. 1. Ensure the analyzer is in the paused or stopped state 2 A. On the Command bar, select System B. Select the Status tab 3 3 C. Select the IM analyzer D. Select to pause or stop the analyzer 2. Open the solid waste door 3. Clean the waste bins: A. Remove the sample tip waste and cuvette bin liners B. Dispose of the sample tip waste in accordance with laboratory protocols C. Clean the waste bin liners using 10% bleach solution D. Rinse the bin liners with tap water E. Dry the bin liners with lint-free tissue F. Install the bin liners 5. Push the waste drawer in 6. Close the solid waste door 4 7. On the command bar, select System > Status, then select the IM analyzer 8. To restart the analyzer, select 9.
