Cleaning the Calibration Bar Video

This video provides instructions on how to clean the calibration bar on your CLINITEK Status®+ Analyzer as part of maintenance activities. Instructions include how to check the calibration bar for discoloration, dust or dirt.

During normal use, the light calibration bar should not become discolored or dirty. To ensure reliable results, check the bar periodically and always after a strip jam. To check the calibration bar, extract the test table from the analyzer. Then remove the insert from the test table. Check the calibration bar for discoloration, dust or dirt. For cleaning, use a lint free cloth or cotton tip stick dampened with distilled water and gently wipe the affected areas. Never use solvents to clean the bar. It is important to let the calibration bar air dry once it is dry. Inspect calibration bar again for any discoloration, debris or scratches. If the marks cannot be removed, the test table will need to be replaced. Once cleaning is completed, reinsert the table with the white calibration bar facing up. Push the table gently until it is halfway into the analyzer. Then replace the insert.
