Customizing Operator or Patient Information Video

This video provides instructions on how to customize the Operator or Patient information screens on your CLINITEK Status®+ Analyzer, including details that are recorded during strip tests.

While the startup wizard sets up functions to get started on the analyzer, you may need to customize those settings to meet the requirements of your workplace. To begin, click instrument setup. Operator, an patient information used to select data display options. Click select. On the input settings you can select one of three test sequences. If the quick test mode is selected, the analyzer does not prompt for any patient operator or sample appearance information. The test results are identified by a sequential test number. If full test mode is selected, the user is prompted to enter operator identification, patient name and identification, and sample appearance. When processing a test sample. If your facility requires more customization, select the custom setup option. There will be 5 screens to review for further customizing the testing process. The Round button is used to select the preferred setting for each category. Click the button for custom setup. Then click next. On the operator screen you can select if you want to require an operator name when running a test, and if you want numeric or alphabetic to be the default keypad, click the numeric option for the keypad priority. Click the next button to view options for patient information. On this screen you choose if the patient name and or identification is required for running a test. If the name an identification options are disabled, a sequential test number is displayed with the results. The barcode reader option is used. If your analyzer includes a barcode reader and you want to enter patient name or identification in this manner, click next to continue. On this screen, you choose whether a patient name or ID is included on the results. If your analyzer will be interfaced to transmit data to an LIS and or data management software, you must select patient ID. Click the button to enable the patient ID option. The last operator's name displayed option can be enabled or disabled depending if you want this option available. When conducting a strip or cassette test, click next to view sample appearance options. On this screen you can select details to be recorded during strip tests. These include color and clarity, color only, clarity only or none. You also have the option to edit the selected colors. Click at it color to view the choices. After reviewing this list, click next to continue. Once you have reviewed the available options, click next to view additional choices. On this screen, additional colors can be entered by clicking on an enter custom color button. Use caution that you do not enter a color that already exists. Doing so will delete patient records currently stored on the system. Click next to return to the sample appearance screen. Click next to continue. On the custom field screen you can name the field in order to customize data entry up to 16 characters can be entered. Click the next button. The input settings screen displays the selections made in the custom setup. Click done to confirm these selections and return to the Choose Settings screen.
