This video will show you how to perform general cleaning tasks on the epoch blood analysis system with next host to clean the epoch system, wipe the epoch reader and host using a cloth dampened with water and a mild detergent, non abrasive cleaner or alcohol. Be sure to not submerge the system in any type of fluid as excess liquids can irreparably damage the system. To clean the system, first put protective gloves on your hands. Next, prepare wipes or gauze pads by saturating them with water and alcohol. Remove excess liquid from the wipes or gauze pads. Gently rub any areas of dried blood or fluids with one or more moist pads until the stains are soft enough to wipe clean. After the blood and organ fluids have been removed, clean all surfaces twice with fresh pads soaked in 70 isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the clean surface is wet with 70% isopropyl alcohol for at least 5 seconds with each cleaning. Finally, discard the ads according to laboratory protocol.
