Signing Into The NXS Host The epoc Host login screen appears when the operator powers on the Host, after any Reset, or after the operator logs out of the epoc Host Application. Enter an administrator or operator username into the User ID area of the screen. Select SIGN IN. Select the User ID area on the image to learn more about how to log into the epoc NXS Host. Sign-In Screen epoc_nxs_software_signin.mp3 The epoc host login screen appears when the operator powers on the Host, after any reset or after the operator logs out of the Host application. To sign in, first enter an administrator or operator username into the user id area of the screen. Then select sign in. Select the USER ID area on the image to learn more about how to log into the epoc NXS host. epoc_nxs_software_enterinformation.mp3 Layer one: Once sign in is selected after the user id has been entered, enter an administrator or operator password into the Password area of the screen by scanning it using the barcode scanner or entering it manually using the keypad then select sign in. QA Testing Select this option to run QA tests, Thermal QA tests, review QA test records, review electronic QC records and thermal QA records. Synchronize Data Select this option to update Host settings, receive software updates and send tests. Settings Select this option to check Reader status and ping a connected Reader. Running A Blood Test After selecting the Run Blood Test option on the home screen, the operator will have a number of options to view and edit. Select the numbered steps below to learn more about how to run a blood test on the epoc NXS Host. epoc_nxs_software_testtype.mp3 Layer one: Test type will be displayed once the operator has selected the Run Blood Test option on the Home screen. epoc_nxs_software_messages.mp3 Layer two: Messages such as inject sample will appear on the screen when it is time to introduce the blood sample to the test card. epoc_nxs_software_animation.mp3 Layer three: A link displaying show me how will appear underneath the message to provide guidance on how to inject a sample. Once the animation link has been selected, the animation will appear and guide the operator on how to inject a sample into the test card. epoc_nxs_software_progressbar.mp3 Layer four: The Progress Bar displays the progress of timed events. The Countdown Timer displays the amount of time remaining in a test or calibration. To cancel the action while the test is still in progress, select the X at the top left of the screen. epoc_nxs_software_entryfields.mp3 Layer five: A test can be edited any time during a test using the entry fields listed on the screen. The operator must scroll down for extra fields. All test information must be added prior to the completion of the test in order for the information to be saved. Once the animation link has been selected, the animation will appear and guide the operator on how to inject a sample into the test card. 3 Messages Messages such as inject sample will appear on the screen when it is time to introduce the blood sample to the test card. 2 Test Type The test type will be displayed once the operator has selected the Run Blood Test option on the Home screen. 1 ? Viewing Test Results Test results can be viewed in a number of ways depending on the type of test result selected. Viewing QA Tests To view QA tests on the epoc NXS host: Select QA Testing in the Home screen Select QA Test History, Electronic QC History or Thermal QA History from the bottom half of the screen Note: Any operator may view Electronic QC History and Thermal QA history. QA test records, EQC records and Thermal QA records are displayed in a similar way to Blood Test records. Users can also initiate a full synchronization with the data manager as follows: From the Sign In page select Synchronize From the Home page select Synchronize Data After the test is complete, select Close and Transmit When synchronization is complete, leave the screen by selecting the X at the top left of the screen.
