This Job Aid provides a short introduction of GOKnee 3D.

GoKnee 3D Job Aid GOKnee3D is a push-button, clinically validated, high-resolution 3D isotropic exam of the knee which takes 10 minutes (with MAGNETOM Skyra, total examination times will vary with system field strength with up to 11 minutes on MAGNETOM Aera). It provides essential clinical contrasts, PD-weighted and T2-weighted with fat suppression, and the 3D isotropic images can be reformatted to support image reading in all planes. Push-button functionality is enabled with AutoAlign Knee (available with the Large Joint Dot Engine), providing high consistency in imaging, helping to improve patient throughput and reduce costs per scan. By using CAIPIRINHA SPACE, GOKnee3D provides the following benefits: • CAIPI shift in the phase encode direction • Optimal use of coil sensitivity profile information • Improved parallel imaging reconstruction • Reduced aliasing artifacts and noise • High SNR with high acceleration You can find the GOKnee3D program in the Siemens tree by following the path knee > Knee Dot Engine > general 3D (see screenshot on the following page). Several 3D acceleration techniques including CAIPIRINHA SPACE sequence are available for multiple regions (hand, wrist, unilateral hip, foot, ankle, knee). CAIPIRINHA SPACE is Siemens unique and another viable option for fast MRCP scans in one single breath-hold. It enables significant 4-fold acceleration for 3D imaging. Dot Cockpit - Main ? When you select Protocol Parameters on the left side and the tab Resolution and Acceleration in the middle of the box, the Acceleration mode CAIPRINHA is selected with the Total factor 4.
