How to Configure Limits for CARE kV

How to Configure Limits for CARE kV Computed Tomography Siemens’ CARE kV automatically suggests a kV setting for each individual patient, specific to their size and the type of examination being performed, in order to optimize both dose and image quality. For individual scan ranges, certain kV values can be excluded if the CARE kV limits are set. These limits can be configured in the Scan Protocol Assistant. For example – kV limits could be applied if the user did not wish to have CARE kV use 140kV on vascular/CTA examinations or 80kV on head examinations. 1.
