Components of the Innovision Audio and Innovision Display systems are located both in the examination room and the control room. It is important to pay attention to the intended location of each component as some components are not MR Safe and must not be taken into the examination room (including the MR system) under any circumstances. The safety, MR compatibility, efficacy and electromagnetic emissions of the Innovision Audio and Innovision Display systems cannot be guaranteed should the system be modified, operated with non-Innovere components or used in a way other than specified in this operator manual. Use of the Innovision Audio or Innovision Display system with patients who have metallic implants is not permitted. According to EU regulation 2017/745 (MDR), any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the device must be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the EU Member State in which the user and/or patient is established. The Innovision system consists of two main components: • Innovision Audio infotainment system • Innovision Display Innovision Audio comes with a specially designed pillow and earplugs to reduce MRI noise while delivering clear sound through conduction hearing. Innovision Display is compatible with Innovision Audio. Innovision Display provides an immersive display that creates the illusion of an enlarged bore. Innovision Display enables the display of a countdown timer to help patients keep track of time. The components of the Innovision system are placed in the control and in the examination room. Connections between the components in the control room and the components in the examination room are wireless. The console unit is the control center of the Innovision system. The console unit is used for the following: • Select and/or change the entertainment • Control the volume of the entertainment • Determine the wireless and battery status of the Innovision Audio system • Set the count-down timer for the patient (when connected to the Innovision Display system) The connection status of the audio bridge (examination room) and the pillows is shown on the base of the console unit. The special design provides a comfortable viewing experience. In addition to a video, patients can see a display informing them about the remaining scan time – which can have a comforting effect. Moreover, the display seems to be as far away as the top of a 90 cm bore – making the inside of the bore feel virtually larger. This is an added advantage for all patients, including those who are anxious or claustrophobic. The patient display is wireless and powered by Innovision rechargeable batteries that last for over four hours of continuous operation. Both the standard pillow and the head/neck coil pillow are made of comfortable memory foam. Their ergonomic design increases patient comfort during scanning. The pillows are also easy to clean. Their coating is medical grade, sterilizable, and anti-bacterial. In conjunction with ear plugs, ambient noise can be reduced by at least 33 dB, while patients can clearly hear the audio signal from the entertainment system and the voice of the technologist. The pillows are wireless and easy to handle. They operate on internal batteries that last for over 12 hours of continuous operation. The pillows can be recharged via a cable connection to the Innovision battery charging station. The pillow covers act as an additional level of sanitary control to put patients' minds at ease and reduce the frequency of pillow cleaning between patients. The pillow covers are made of a non-woven polypropylene fabric that is biocompatible and disposable. The pillow covers are intended for single use only.
