Welcome to the Introduction to syngo® MI Apps tutorial. syngo® MI Apps  is the workstation application used in Siemens SPECT and SPECT-CT scanners. This tutorial is designed for the new user of syngo MI Apps. This is the third module of this series, titled syngo® MI Apps Processing Workflows.  Topics that are covered in this module are: Processing Workflows, Processing Activities, and Organ Specific Workflows Identify Cardiac Workflows Identify Gastrointestinal Workflows Identify Lung Processing Workflows Identify Processing Workflows/ Activities Identify Renal Processing Workflows Identify Thyroid Workflows Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to: You should now be able to: Identify Processing Workflows and activities Identify Cardiac workflows Identify Gastrointestinal workflows Identify Thyroid Workflows Identify Lung Processing Workflows Identify Renal Processing Workflows Proceed to the assessment to complete the course. Processing Workflows Processing activities Accept raw data from an Acquisition Activity or Data Selector Activity Produces reconstructed or analyzed data outputs Stand-alone processing workflows do not have acquisition activities Types of Processing Activities: AutoRecon Gastrointestinal Gated Bloodpool Image Registration Lung Processing Quality Control Renal Processing Seris Reformat Thyroid 3D Orientation      There are a number of Cardiac Workflows available in the MI Apps application.  Some examples of the processing activities are: Planar Gated Bloodpool workflows Cardiac First Pass Workflows Cardiac Tomo Reconstruction Workflows 3rd Party Cardiac Workflows There are a number of Thyroid Workflows available in the MI Apps application.  Some examples of the processing activities are: Thyroid Uptake Worklow Parathyroid Workflow Count Distribution Percentage Distribution of Counts Perfusion or Ventilation Factory Workflows: Aerosol Vent-Perf Proc Lung Perf Proc Xenon Vent-Perf Proc Regional Analysis Washout Analysis Renal Processing Workflows Measure kidney function Blood Flow GFR ERPF Split Uptake Methods Captopril Comparison Gates GFR (DTPA) Itoh ERPF (MAG3) MAG3 (Without Samples) Oberhausen Oriuchi Clearance (MAG3) Bubeck (TER) Generic (None) There are a number of Gastrointestinal Workflows available in the MI Apps application.  Some examples of the processing activities are: Gastric Empty Workflow Hepatobiliary Workflows Multipurpose Activity Reconstructs all compatible tomo data Automatically aligns (zips) reconstructed whole body tomo. Output reconstructed FBP or Iterative reconstructed volumes. Gastric Empty or Hepatobiliary studies Gastric Emptying Static or dynamic acquisition data Single or Dual Detectors Hepatobiliary Assesses the GB Ejection Fraction after fatty meal. Calculates cardiac ejection fraction of the left ventricle. Cardiac wall motion Analysis of volume curves Multi-purpose activity Synchronized viewing (side by side) displays Alpha Blending Creation of mu-maps Reslicing data for viewing on PACs Calculates the count distribution and percentage distribution of counts Functional images useful in pulmonary function analysis Accepts two series (perfusion and ventilation) or single series of either type. Outputs Statistical Results Time Activity Curves Wash In/ Wash Out Analysis Regional Analysis Used to access the raw data for motion Manual motion correction for all data types except gated, planar, and whole body Automatic motion correction available for gated tomo and tomo data. Output is motion corrected series Used to measure kidney function Blood flow GFR ERPF Split Uptake   Macro Recorder All operations that are performed will be remembered by the activity Saving a workflow saves manual as automatic Masking Computes thyroid uptake as a percentage of the injected dose. Area Weight Split Uptake Methods for Calculation Syringe Image Dose Calibrator Volume Rotations Zooming Centering 2 Modes Automatic Mode Interactive Mode Output New series containing oriented volume Calculates Ejection Fraction Cardiac Functional Parameters Display Wall Motion Analyze Cardiac Volume Curves   Converts first pass dynamic data into a Cardiac Bloodpool Image Calculates Cardiac Ejection Fraction Other Cardiac Functional Parameters Display Wall Motion Analyze Cardiac Volume Curves Reconstruction and orientation of gated and non-gated cardiac tomo data. Cardiac Perfusion Proc Factory Template Up to 4 inputs of raw gated or non-gated cardiac tomo data required. Output up to 4 gated or non-gated cardiac tomo reconstructed data sets. Optional Software Cedars Corridor 4DM Emory Evaluate percentage of gastric empty Static or Dynamic Single or Dual head Gastric Emptying Dynamic Proc Gastric Emptying Static Proc Access the amount of excretion of the gallbladder Ratio of activity between pre-excretion and post-excretion Static or Dynamic Single or Dual Head Acquisitions Result is Ejection Fraction Curve and Calculations Calculation of the thyroid uptake as a percentage of the injected dose. Calculates the area, volume, weight and split uptake Syringe images Method Syringe and Dose Calibrator Method Dose Calibrator Method   Series Arithmetic Activity Uses scaled subtraction function Normalizes count differences between images, image registration and variable subtraction Tc04- and Tl 201 Tc04- and Tc99m Sestamibi
