Introduction to syngo® MI Apps (e.soft) - Part 4 -Flexible Display, Hardcopy Activity and Completion Setup

This web based training is designed to provide the SPECT and SPECT•CT user with the syngo® MI Apps (e.soft) workstation used in SPECT and SPECT•CT imaging. Training is geared toward the learner who is new to Siemens MI Apps. Training content will provide a basic foundation into the terms used in the software, navigation of the user interface and knowledge of how it will work into their current clinical workflow. Part 4 of this training, syngo® MI Apps Flexible Display will provide the user with an overview of Flexible Display page, Flexible Display toolbar, and  the common display tools. There will also be a short description of the Hard Copy activity and the Completion Setup.

Intro to MI Apps (e.soft) WBT Part 4 - Flexible Display, Hardcopy Activity and Completion Setup This web based training is designed to provide the SPECT and SPECT•CT user with the syngo® MI Apps (e.soft) workstation used in SPECT and SPECT•CT imaging. Training is geared toward the learner who is new to Siemens MI Apps. Training content will provide a basic foundation into the terms used in the software, navigation of the user interface and knowledge of how it will work into their current clinical workflow. Common Flexible Display Page Tools Tools used for a variety of reasons Print Icon Prints current display directly to printer Save Screen Savescreens current display page New Page Creates a new page Places it at the end of the tabs list Edit Page Allows modification Flexible Display page Delete Page Deletes the currently selected display page Page Properties Only active when the Flexible Display activity is in Edit mode. Shows the properties of the selected page. Select Allows various objects to be selected. Handles appear on the object boundaries. Deselects other tools.  Pan  Enables clicking and dragging inside a pane Release the mouse, all frames shift by the same amount. Status bar displays number of pixels that have been moved from original position.  Zoom Enables changing the frame size within the pane. Status bar indicates the zoom percentage. Increase zoom – Drag up Decrease zoom – Drag down Release – All frames zoomed to same amount Ctrl key and Image click – Resets zoom Shift key and Image click – Increases zoom 50% Ctrl, Shift and Image click – Decreases zoom 50%  Rotate    Rotates frame 90 degrees with each click. Release the mouse – all frames rotate by the same amount. Status bar indicates the rotation of the image. Ctrl and image click – Original orientation Single image click – Rotates the image 90 degrees clockwise Shift and image click – Rotates image 90 degrees counter clockwise     Flip Horizontal    Flips image left to right Release mouse- all frames flipped to same amount Ctrl and image click – Original orientation    Flip Vertical Flip image top to bottom Release mouse – all frames flipped by same amount Ctrl and image click – Original orientation  Flip Brightness/ Contrast  Adjusts the upper and lower LUT values Drag up to increase upper level Drag down to decrease the upper level Drag left to decrease lower level Drag right to increase lower level Ctrl key and image click – lower level 0% and upper level 100%    Auto-Normalize Enables setting the normalization limits for the series Left click – Sets the maximum pixel value within the square cursor. Ctrl key and image click – Resets the normalization to original setting Revert Image  Removes all changes made to the image with display tools. Click image to restore.  Text Enables annotation to be placed on a particular spot of an image Arrow  Enables and arrow and text annotation to be placed on image  Ruler Enables distance measurement annotation Ruler is calibrated to the pixel size Millimeters or pixels  Angle  Allows and angle measurement to be placed on an image frame. Displays angle between two lines    Correlated Cursors Enables cursor to be placed in any pain of a Slice Display object. Shadow cursors placed above and below in the same plane. Primary cursor is black and the shadow cursors are red. ROI Tools   ROIs for: Series Display Fusion Series Display Image Display Not saved in a series upon workflow completion Tool types: Polygon, Ellipse Rectangle Isocontour   Split Function Split function calculation of two ROIs Series Display Fusion Series Display Image Display   Color Bar Displays the color LUT for the frame set. Enables brightness, contrast and color to be adjusted. All frames in the frame set share the same color bar The Hardcopy Activity Save print areas to database Save screens Configure print area properties Generate hardcopy output Selecting Print Areas for Save Screens  One or more print areas can be saved into a single save screen. The name of the save screen series can be customized. Move save screens from Results window using the arrows to Save Screens window. Selecting Print Areas for Hard Copies Prints can be generated upon the completion of a workflow. Move hardcopies from Results window using the arrows to Hardcopy window.   Immediate Printing Click print area in either the Results list or Hard Copies Print area appears in the Preview window Click the “Print Selected Print Area” button   Completion Setup Set up services to be conducted when complete button is selected. Series Save    Save series in the database Select the series you want to save Save PET as NM Save PET as PET Convert VOI to RT Structure     Schedule Background Printing Upon Completion Automatically prints data to film or color printer Configured in the Hard Copy Setup Activity Configured with individual print properties   Schedule Transfer to DICOM Node upon Completion Information will be copied and transferred to a DICOM workstation elsewhere. Transfer group is enabled Transfer entire study or series Schedule Archive to Device upon Completion Information will be archived to a selected device Archive entire study or series   Start Another Workflow upon Completion If selected, the Link Setup group becomes enabled. This allows you to pend another workflow once this one is completed. You should now be able to: State the purpose and the function of the Flexible Display Activity. Describe the two modes of Flexible Display. Navigate Flexible Display pages. State the types and purposes of the Flexible Display objects. Describe and navigate the Flexible Display tools. State the function and purpose of the Hardcopy Activity. Demonstrate selecting Print Areas for Hardcopies and Savescreens.
