MR IDEA Imaging Calculation Programming

***Cary Based courses - COVID restrictions apply. A Siemens representative will contact you with details after registration.

MR IDEA Imaging Calculation Programming teaches the IDEA software to develop image reconstruction programs on syngo MR MAGNETOM systems. Data reconstruction, and system integration are demonstrated in both lecture and laboratory sessions using computer workstations. Scanner demonstrations are also performed. This course is intended for the site scientist or physician who intends to design and implement investigational image reconstruction programs on the MAGNETOM system for research purposes. This course has a companion course, MR IDEA Sequence Programming, which presents methods for developing pulse sequences.

Key Topics
  • Image Calculation Environment
  • Basic program philosophy
  • Program structure
  • Protocol incorporation
  • Ice Functors
  • Concepts
  • Implementation
  • Ice Objects

Upon completion of this course the learner should be able to:

Explain the design of the MAGNETOM image reconstruction and the implementation.
Obtain information from other software tools such as the ICE simulation environment
Obtain information of the Sequence Calculation Environment (SDE) used for data collection.
Learn to reconstruct data using the MAGNETOM system.
Audience: Intended for site scientists and/or physicians developing new data reconstruction programs that execute on the MAGNETOM MR Systems.

Prerequisites: General knowledge of MR image reconstruction is assumed. Knowledge of C++ programming language is strongly recommended.

Nondisclosure form regarding proprietary materials will be signed by all participants on the first day of the class. A copy of this form is available on request.

Facilities with existing Master Research Agreements should contact the R&D department regarding the necessity of an additional nondisclosure agreement for the course materials.
