PhaseRev Add-In- XA31

This Job Aid provides a short introduction to the PhaseRev Add-in and how it works.

PhaseRev Add-In Job Aid 1. What is the PhaseRev Add-In? • Add-ins are auxiliary software components. As a kind of plug-in assigned to a program step, they enhance it with specific features. • The PhaseRev (=reverse phase) Add-In copies a current step in the exam queue and flips the phase-encoding direction of it. • It can be attached to any protocol. • The same PhaseRev functionality is also directly built into the BOLD Add-In. 2. How can it support you? • DTI image may be affected by susceptibility-induced geometric distortions. Especially in a research context, third party post-processing tools (e.g. TOPUP • tool available as part of the FSL library*) offers the possibility to correct these geometric distortions based on additional image data acquired with opposed phase encoding direction compared to the affected data. With the PhaseRev Add-In you can automatically acquire additional data with • opposed phase encoding direction without manual user interaction to simplify the workflow and to ensure consistent data input for tools like FSL TOPUP*. *http://fsl.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fsl/fslwiki/topup Unrestricted Published by Siemens Healthcare GmbH © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2021 SIEMENS Master Template Effective Date: 3/5/2020 | HOOD05162003074494 US Job Aid Effective Date: 4.12.2021 | HOOD05162003184902 Healthineers Job Aid Effective Date: 13-Feb-21 I HOOD05162003162958 Job Aid I PhaseRev Add-In Job Aid US Job Aid Effective Date: 4.12.2021| HOOD05162003184902 Effective Date: 13-Feb-21 I HOOD05162003162958 3. How does it work? 1. Open the PhaseRev Add-In, if you Dot Add-In Configurator want to use the PhaseRev Add-In without any further Add-Ins. Within the PhaseRev Add-In, the Guidance Parameters Enable PhaseRev functionality is automatically Queue GSP enabled. Series Label Auto Load AutoCoverage PhaseRev Close Please note: If you want to use the BOLD Add-In and the PhaseRev functionality in parallel, you need to use the BOLD Add-In. The PhaseRev functionality is disabled per default in the BOLD Add-In. To enable the PhaseRev functionality in the Add-In, put a checkmark in the Enable PhaseRev field. 2. Start a protocol in the exam queue e.g. gre protocol, that has the PhaseRev Add-In attached. The Add-In needs to be attached to the protocol in the Dot Cockpit as shown in the previous step.
