This job aid describes how to resolve LIS communication errors on the Atellica® Solution.

Atellica® Solution SIEMENS Healthineers Resolving LIS Communication Errors Job Aid Issue: LIS Communication Errors Description: Atellica loses LIS connection, LIS icon is red or disabled, test orders do not download and results do not upload Online Help Reference: Data Manager Event Troubleshooting > The system did not transmit results. System LIS communication is offline. Additional Reference: Document Library (www.siemens.com/eIFU) > Atellica Solution LIS Interface Guide Troubleshooting Steps: 1. Restart the LIS Connection on the Atellica Solution using in the Status bar 2. Turn on LIS Logs capture (Navigate to System > Logs > LIS Logs) 3. Check the Operator Event Log for events associated to the AQC database (if the database is too full it can shut down the LIS), resolve the issue 4. Confirm Atellica Solution is scanning the barcodes to get the sample ID 5. Try ordering sample from Atellica Solution and see if the result crosses over 6. If issue persists, troubleshoot middleware computer and physical connections 7. Restart the PCC • Online Help Reference: Restarting the PCC 1 8.
