SOMATOM go. UI Navigation for Physicists Video

The introduction of the new Somatom Go systems. There is a new software interface that may be unfamiliar to most with strict quality control regulations in place by hospital, state and country. Physics testing on these systems has become an annual requirement. These tests include kedd dose measurement testing that requires specific protocols to be used. The purpose of this video is to show physicists how to access hidden dedicated testing protocols for KDDI measurement testing on Somoto Mgo systems. The steps shown in this video include how to unhide ctdi measurement protocols for both adult and pediatric body and head modes. Additional steps included in this video are how to register a patient. Choosing the see TD protocols and selecting the various parameter settings for protocol modification purposes. The process begins by logging into the system as a superuser. This is accomplished by selecting superuser from the list of users located in the top right corner. When the syngo setae login screen appears, enter the password and select the OK button. From the scheduler window, click on the settings icon in the top right corner. This may also be known as the cogwheel from the list of options select exam designer. From the select Protocols Tab, select the option Siemens protocols and deselect customer protocols. This will reduce the overall number of protocols visible, so it is easier to identify the semans default protocols. Select the specials folders for both adult and child protocols. Check the boxes for the skeddy measurement protocols under both adult and child headings. Select unhide in the bottom left corner of the screen. This will display the protocols in the examination card. Close the window by selecting the X in the upper right corner. Click examination, then select register patient in the top right corner. In the patient registration tab, enter test data for the last name, patient ID, and date of birth. Click exam, the message application is starting. Please wait will display. When the examination card opens, the protocol selection tab displays. Select the unhidden Skeddy measurement protocols for adult and child by clicking on the specials folder. Select the protocol on the right. In this example, we have selected the body protocol. Click the Add icon to register the protocol. Click OK to Ally the protocol. Right mouse click on the scan timeline and select show parameters from the list of options. This will display the scan parameters so they can be verified or modified. Click on the Orange Recon Square in the top right corner to display the Recon parameters. To make changes to the reconstruction parameters, click on the desired Recon tab and make any necessary changes. Select confirm to load the protocol and then go to activate the top of Gram scan mode. You are now ready to acquire the scan for testing.
