syngo.via VB30 Delta - Radiation Oncology Online Training

This online training is intended to train you on new features and functionalities of the syngo.via VB30 software for Radiation Oncology.

Welcome to the syngo.via VB30 delta online training for Radiation Oncology. In this training you will learn about the new features and feature improvements of the MM RT Image Suite. Upon successful completion of this training, you will know about new features in: MM RT Image Suite with a faster simulation workflow through the implementation of the Zero clicks RT auto contouring by Rapid Results technology and the Beam Placement. In addition to that, with Synthetic CT we have eliminated the need of CT and fully utilize the benefit of MR imaging for contouring and the MR only planning. Syngo.via RT Image Suite is a dedicated RT software that is designed to make simulation, image assessment, and contouring easier with better integration - while also offering capabilities that go beyond the current standard. Congratulations. You have completed the syngo.via VB30 Delta online training - Radiation Oncology. Listed below are the key points that have been presented. Take time to review the material before you proceed to the final quiz. Select the link below to view and/or print your review material before proceeding to the final quiz. Download and print a copy of the Course Review. MM RT Image Suite Zero clicks RT auto contouring by Rapid Results technology in MM RT Image suite preprocesses automatically, as soon the data is at syngo.via. Beam Placement is one step in the virtual simulation workflow and allows simple treatment plan creation directly after the contouring of the lesion and organ of risk. Synthetic CT provides the density information for the dose calculation for treatment planning and allows MR only planning. Please note that the learning material is for training purposes only! Copyright © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2018 The Zero clicks RT auto contouring in MM RT Image suite is based on the Rapid Results technology. Once the configuration is done correctly on the CT scanner and in syngo.via, the Zero clicks RT auto contouring preprocesses automatically as soon as the data is at syngo.via.   When the patient is loaded into the MM RT image suite, the contouring is already done and the data is ready to be sent to the treatment planning system and PACS.   State of the art radiation therapy increasingly relies on more advanced imaging for accurate target delineation. The MM RT Image Suite is a dedicated RT software that is designed to make simulation, image assessment, and contouring easier with better integration – while also offering capabilities that go beyond the current standard. In this syngo.via VB30 Delta Online Training you will learn about new features and feature improvements of MM RT Image Suite. As soon as a New Plan is created, you can directly start by adding the Beams. You can modify several beam parameters. For example you can change the Gantry, Table, and Collimator.   With Beam Placement you have the option to work with the Block field or you can use an MLC AutoShape with a certain margin. The MLC shape can be easily modified using a nudge tool.   Additional beams can be created by using the Copy beam function or you can add them with the Add Beam button.   Created plans can be saved as Templates and be used again later.   In the RT Navigator in MM RT Image suite you will find the machine configuration. Here you can create a new treatment machine by using the plus button. The machine name has to be defined and the machine characterization has to be entered. The information is available in the documentation of your linear accelerator. The single MLCs of the Multi Leaf Collimator can be defined in the MLC configuration tab. After you have defined the machine, select OK. And after you have restarted the workflow, you can use the machine for your beam creation.   Synthetic CT provides density information for dose calculations designed for brain, prostate and female pelvis. Fast scanning protocols and automatic preprocessing on syngo.via provide you with the density information that you need. Once the configuration is done correctly, Synthetic CT is created by automatic preprocessing and is directly available. Synthetic CT provides the following benefits for radiation therapy planning: Eliminates the need to register CT and MR avoiding registration errors with Synthetic CT. Fully utilizing the benefits of MR images for target delineation for brain, prostate and female pelvis. An MR-only solution would further increase in a workflow with repeated Imaging (i.e. weekly scans, for response assessment and/or treatment adaptation). Synthetic CT enables MR-only Radiation Therapy that decreases the number of scans and associated patient discomfort, and reduces the planning related costs.   With MM RT Image Suite Beam Placement the complementation of the virtual simulation workflow is done. Here you can perform simple treatment plan creation directly after the contouring of the lesion and organ of risk. The Beam Placement can be used, for example, in emergency cases.
