It is composed of four different types of multiple track components, which control sample tube movement. The sample carriers, or pucks are used to transport the sample tubes on the track. Sample carriers have a unique ID that is identified electronically via a radio frequency ID, thanks to an RFID chip embedded in each sample carrier. The sample carrier ID (RFID) and sample tube ID (bar code) are paired for sample tracking purposes while on the track.  Select the links below to learn about track components and the sample carrier. When this happens, the sample will be delivered to a Priority Output lane for further investigation by the operator. Examples of such errors are duplicate Sample ID, unreadable barcode or a system error that may affect the results. Once a sample is observed in the priority output lane, the operator should remove the sample from the system, search for the sample ID and associated error and follow the guided recovery steps to resolve the issue. When a system error has occurred that may affect results, the associated error message is also sent to the CentraLink Data Management System. As with all errors, follow the guided recovery steps found in the Aptio system.  Do not report results directly from the analyzer as these results will not be flagged with Aptio system errors. Select the link below to learn how to manage samples in the Priority Output lane.
