This job aid provides instructions on how to perform the as needed maintenance task of testing analyzer water for the Atellica® IM Analyzer.

Select Enter Diagnostics State All Initialize Module Move all module components to their primary positions. Perform Other Clear Thermals Clear system thermal components following a thermal error that caused components to go offline. Reagent Loader Initialize Reagent Loader Return the reagent loader and the associated subsystems to the starting positions. Cuvette Loader Prime Cuvettes Cuvette conveyor moves to fill the vertical cuvette chute with cuvettes. Incubation Ring Initialize Cuvette Loader Move the cuvette loader and the associated subsystem components to their primary positions. Luminometer Empty Ring Empty all the cuvettes from the incubation ring. * This procedure is continued on the next slide. Reagent Compartment Empty and Fill Ring Simultaneously empty the cuvettes from the incubation ring and load the ring with new cuvettes. Reagent Probes Initialize Incubation Ring Move the incubation ring and the associated subsystem components to their primary positions Sample Probe Initialize Luminometer Return the luminometer and the associated subsystems to the starting positions. Tip Loader Initialize Reagent Compartment Return the reagent compartment and the associated subsystems to the starting positions. Open the right front door 3. Locate the water reservoir and unscrew the lid 4. Using a sterile pipette or syringe, pull out a 25-50mL sample of water 2 5. Follow laboratory protocol and test sample for microbes Note: If the bacteria count is > 50 CFU/mL, contact the local technical support provider to disinfect the water system. 6.
