UniPOC™ Data Management System Add Reagent Lot Information and Reagent Ranges Video

This video provides instructions on how to enter reagent lot information and reagent ranges into the UniPOC™ Data Management System database.

If granted permission by the administrator or point of care coordinator, users can utilize the reagent lot screen to view, add, edit and delete reagent lots assigned to a facility, department or location. To begin, let's navigate to the reagent lot screen. Select the lots menu bar option. Next, select the reagent sub menu option. The reagent lot screen displays the reagent lots table with lots based on the location, department or facility highlighted in the location tree. Search criteria can also be used to display lots put into service within a specific date range. View launched by the download to instrument status or filter by instrument or reagent type. It is important to verify if the Unipak software has already seen the lock code to be entered. Utilizing the location tree and search criteria, a general search should be performed to confirm or deny the presence of the lot code to be registered. If the lock code is found in the software, users must highlight the lock code and select edit to enter additional reagent information. If the lock code is not found in the software, users must select the add action button and manually enter the new lock code and additional required lot information. In this video we will illustrate how to enter reagent lot information and reagent ranges for the Freestyle Precision Pro glucose test strip. We will input reagent lot information for the glucose test strip at the facility level main hospital. We will also utilize a lot code already recognized by the software. To begin, select the lock code for a 5W5H and select edit. In the edit reagent lot screen, the reagent type is preselected and the lock code is greyed out for indicating that the two fields cannot be edited. Once the lock code is recognized by the Unipak software, the reagent type and lot code cannot be edited unless deleted and manually re entered. Required fields are indicated by fields marked with an asterisk. Let's enter the required reagent lot information. Enter the 14 character lot number. Next, let's enter the. In service and expiration date information. Manually enter a date or utilize the calendar icon to display a popup calendar for date selection. For this exercise we will enter 21 2019 into the in service date fields. Enter 31 2019 into the expiration date. Finally, the download to instruments Checkbox enables the reagent lot to be downloaded to instruments capable of receiving this information. Only download reagent lots currently in use to ensure instruments receive the appropriate reagent download list. It is also important to note the selected tree level to ensure the download to instruments list is applied to the appropriate locations. In this example, the glucose test strip lawn information will be downloaded to the main hospital facility level and all child locations. Select the download to instruments checkbox. Select save. On the reagent lot screen, the lock code number reappears with the additional reagent lot information displayed. Now let's add reagent ranges. To begin, select the lot number checkbox corresponding with the glucose test strip information previously entered and select edit. Next select add. The add reagent range screen appears with the reagent type in a read only field for this exercise, let's add ranges for glucose. The analyte and level are pre selected, so let's begin by adding the lower and upper values for the low range of glucose, enter 33 and 63 in the range fields. Then verify the corresponding unit, milligram per deciliter is displayed in the unit field. Utilized the unit dropdown to correct if necessary. Finally, select save. The edit reagent lot screen appears with the low range displayed for glucose. For Abbott Precision exceed Pro and Abbott Freestyle Precision Pro devices, this process must be repeated to add low, normal, and high levels when entering reagent range values zero. To continue, select add to enter the normal values for glucose. Utilize the level drop down to change the level to normal. Enter the lower and upper values for the normal range of glucose, 66 and 120 and verify the correct unit is displayed. Select save. Now the normal level is displayed on the edit reagent lot screen. Finally select add to enter the high values for glucose. Change the level drop down to high and enter the lower and upper values 239 and 349. Again, verify the correct unit is displayed and select save. The edit reagent lot screen appears with the low, normal and high values successfully entered for glucose. This completes the overview of adding reagent lot information and the corresponding reagent ranges.
