Atellica® Process Manager User Cases-Automation Utilization and Auto-Validation Reports Job Aid

This job aid will give detailed descriptions and instructions on how to utilize the Automation Utilization and Auto-Validation reports.

Atellica® Process Manager User Cases-Automation Utilization and Auto-Validation Reports Automation Utilization Report The Automation Utilization report provides meaningful data insights around usage of automation modules (e.g., centrifuges, decappers) and instrumentation that is connected to an automation track. The information in this report can be used to assess whether the testing workload is being distributed evenly across multiple systems or if there are any load capacity issues. Using this report, load-balancing rules on your automation system could be adjusted to distribute testing more evenly and prevent bottlenecks in the overall processing efficiency of the laboratory. ---- Automation Utilization Operator Defined Capacity (Optional) mple Time -7 System System 200 300 - Daily Sam Arrivals Daily Sample Arrivals by Time Aug Samples Amved Pur Dey Toof Samples Anse Selected Faters: Centrifuge, Centrifuge # | Mar Automation Utilization Report Insights: ➢ There may be additional capacity to process more samples on certain automation modules (e.g., centrifuges) ➢ There may be uneven utilization across two or more of the same analyzers and turnaround time performance could be impacted in these scenarios. This data could be used to adjust load balancing or test menu mapping on the analyzers in the lab to improve utilization Unrestricted | Published by Siemens Healthcare GmbH © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2020 SIEMENS Master Template Effective Date: 5 Mar 2020 | HOOD05162003074494 Job Aid Effective Date: 03-AUG-2020 | HOOD05162003101668 Healthineers Job Aid | APM User Cases Automation Utilization and Auto-Validation Reports Effective Date: 03-Aug-2020 | HOOD05162003101668 Practice: 1. Use the Month filter to select a month and confirm selection with the green checkmark 2. Use the System filter to select any automation modules or instruments where you have one or more of the same system types 3. Review the Sample Arrivals by System graph in the top right to compare the utilization Take note of any cases where there is an imbalance across a certain system-type Auto-Validation Report The Auto-Validation report displays metrics on operator-validated and auto-validated samples and tests. The data enables laboratories to improve efficiency by creating rules that minimize manual validation. Evaluate the percentage of samples and/or test results that are being auto validated. Assess the tests that are auto-validated most frequently. Assess the time it takes operators to manually review any exceptions. --- Auto-Validation Test Result Validation Sample Validation Tests Validated o validated bry Test Name 2,921 Lamples Validated 2,132 Auto validated over Time " ted Tests --- Q Time - --- 00 10 #1020509 120434 - 01434 CHOAC 01134 003 Wed, The, Fel ] Mar ----- --------------- Unrestricted | Published by Siemens Healthcare GmbH © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2020 SIEMENS Master Template Effective Date 5 Mar 2020 | HOOD05162003074494 Job Aid Effective Date: 03-AUG-2020 | HOOD05162003101668 Healthineers Page 2 of 4 Job Aid | APM User Cases Automation Utilization and Auto-Validation Reports Effective Date: 03-Aug-2020 | HOOD05162003101668 Auto-Validation Report Insights: ➢ The data may show that the overall auto-validation rate for the lab is very good (e.g., > 85% of samples and > 98% of tests being auto-validated). However, you may want to investigate why 15% of samples still require some degree of manual review. This shows that there might be cases where a sample has at least one test that requires manual review despite the higher test result auto-validation rate ➢ Data in the Operator-validated Tests table may show that when there are results that require manual review, there is a lot of variability in the time it takes to review and validate the results Practice: 1. Review the data in the Test Result Validation graph to see the percentage of test results that were auto-validated during this time period 2. Review the Sample Validation graph to see the percentage of samples that were auto-vali- dated during this time period 3. Look at the % Auto-validated by Test Name graph and note some of the tests that have the highest and lowest auto-validation rates 4. Click on the Operator validated tests (a part of the Sample Validation graph) to apply this filter to the report. The percent auto-validated by test name will display all tests that are never auto-validated. This provides you with a list of tests to review and determine if any have the potential for setting up auto-validation rules in your lab’s middleware 5. Use the Month filter to select one month, then use the Day filter and select Monday through Friday and note how many tests per day are auto-validated during the week 6. Look at the Operator-validated Tests table in the bottom right to see how long it took to review these tests. You can sort the Time to Review column header. The Validated By column can also be sorted by user by clicking on the column header Unrestricted | Published by Siemens Healthcare GmbH © Siemens Healthcare GmbH, 2020 SIEMENS Master Template Effective Date 5 Mar 2020 | HOOD05162003074494 Job Aid Effective Date: 03-AUG-2020 | HOOD05162003101668 Healthineers Page 3 of 4 Job Aid | APM User Cases Automation Utilization and Auto-Validation Reports Effective Date: 03-Aug-2020 | HOOD05162003101668 Please note that the learning material is for training purposes only.
