Describe the Features of Review and Edit Review, modify and disposition test results from connected instruments To access the Review and Edit window from the Sample query window: Select the Review and Edit icon Select Start > Routine > Review and Edit Review Results for Status, Severity and Color The Review and Edit screen displays: Result status Result severity Color indicators Describe Manual Result Entry Manually enter test results as a direct edit on the Review and Edit window Manually enter test results in the Result entry window for non-connected instruments List the Steps to View QC Results for a Test From the Review and Edit window, right select the test Select View QC List the Steps to Unschedule a Test The Unschedule function reroutes samples for which the CentraLink system never received results. Invoking Unscheduled will cause one of the following actions, depending on the availability of a previous result: Test requests that do not have previous results are demoted from status Scheduled to status Pending Test requests that have previous results are demoted from status Scheduled to status Rerun Upon reschedule, the CentraLink system sends an updated message to the LAS, which reroutes the samples to the instrument To unschedule a test, select Unscheduled from the context menu of the following windows: Sample browser Review and Edit Request Select Next to continue. This screen provides the following information: Test name Test status Current and previous results (if applicable) Date and Time of previous result from previous sample Range Severities Instrument Select Next to continue.Note: If audio does not automatically start, select the play arrow in the top left to begin.Review and Edit is used to review and action results in the CentraLink system. This screen allows the operator to view all relevant sample and result information as well as disposition results that may be in a hold status. Select next to continue.2Result Statuses Result statuses are listed from lowest to highest status: Pending – Test order is first created Rerun – Request for test to be repeated Scheduled – Instrument queried for work order Review – Result(s) requires attention Validated – Result has been released Uploaded – Result has been transmitted to LIS Omitted – Test order has been removed Select Next to continue.Each individual test in a patient work order has its own status. The overall sample status is equal to the lowest result status. Select next to continue.3Result Severities Result severities can be used in Auto-Validation of samples and other laboratory specific protocols. Severities are built on priorities and include: Norm Severities QC Severities Delta Severities Instrument Severities The severity column will flag with a number from 1-999 and an associated color based on system configuration and evaluation order. Select Next to continue.Result severities can be used in the autovalidation process. Four different attributes are associated with autovalidation severities including: range, QC, Delta checks and Instrument flags. Each severity is associated with a color based on the overall configuration of the CentraLink system. Select next to continue.4Review and Edit Color Indicators Result severities are indicated by a Green, Yellow, Red color scheme for quick visual cues: Green: Severity = 1 Yellow: Severity = 2 Red: Severity = 3 or greater The color associated with the result in the current column will depend on the absolute value of the accumulated severities.  When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue.Severities flags are color-coded in green, yellow or red for quick visual cues. The current test result is flagged based on the absolute value of the accumulated severities. When complete, select the X in the upper-right corner to close the window and continue. Manually Enter a Result Manually enter test results as a direct edit on the Review and Edit window Manually enter test results in the Result entry window for non-connected instruments   Manually Enter Results Learn about manually entering results. Enter the new value Select the Enter or Tab keys, OR select any other field or button to save the value Result Entry Result Entry Result entry allows the operator to enter results from a non-connected instrument. Select the Result Entry icon Input required data in the Result entry window Select OK Enter test results Select Close   When complete, select the X in the upper right corner to close the  window and continue. View QC Results for a Test From the Review and Edit window, right-select the test Select View QC View QC Learn more about viewing QC. The QC Results window displays the relevant QC results.  The top of the window displays test origin information, the middle of the window displays a history of results and the bottom of the window displays comments, flags, and statistics. Select the X in the upper-right window to close the window and continue. The Unschedule function automatically changes the status of samples for which the CentraLink system never received results.
