The Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Dimension Vista® System is an in vitro diagnostic device intended to duplicate manual procedures such as pipetting, mixing, incubating, and measuring to determine a variety of analytes in human body fluids. Dimension Vista® chemical and immunochemical applications use photometric, turbidimetric, chemiluminescence, nephelometric and integrated ion-selective multisensor technology for clinical use. V-LYTE IMT Fluids Computer Waste Bin A Instrument Power Switch System Fluids Waste Bin B Navigate the routine software screens Navigation Icons are used for advanced functions and some routine functions. The Status area displays instrument status, alerts and logged in User. Sidebar Menus are used for Sample information, Method information and accessing the iGuide. Routine function buttons are used for everyday tasks. The Current Activity screen provides a summary of the current instrument workload. It provides information about instrument performance and system processing conditions to help achieve optimum throughput. Access the iGuide The iGuide displays the same information as the printed version of the Operator’s Guide along with the following features: • Electronic table of contents, index, and search feature • Multimedia, such as animations and video • Colored photos, diagrams, and charts Select Next to continue. Reagent Management: Reagents, calibrators and QC materials are loaded and prepared for use in this area. Assay Measurement: Analyte measurement takes place in this area. The Home screen appears whenever the Dimension Vista® System is initialized. On every screen including the Home screen, you will find navigation icons in the upper-left corner that allow you to perform basic system operations as well as navigate to various software screens. Let’s find out what happens when you select the Set User icon. Navigation icons appear in the upper-left corner. Use navigation icons to perform basic system operations and move through the software screens. Select the set user icon on the screen to begin.2Logging In: Use the Set User icon to display the Set User View screen, where you can log into the system. Select Next to continue.   When logging in, use the Set User icon to log into the system.3Advanced Functions:                         Use Advanced Function screens to perform system configuration, diagnostics, and other infrequent tasks. Use Reset to resume operations after Pause or Stop has been selected. Use Stop to immediately halt the instrument. All tests will be aborted. Use Shutdown to perform a controlled power shutdown of the Dimension Vista® System. Use the X to close the Operation Menu . Select Next to continue.  Use the Operation icon to perform the following system operations available on the operations menu. System ready will appear in the system status area when complete. Use stop to immediately halt the instrument. All tests will be aborted. Use shutdown to perform a controlled power shutdown of the Dimension Vista System. Use the X to close the operation menu.5Alarm Icon:  Use the Alarm icon to turn off the system alarm.    Select Next to continue.  If a system process error occurs, an Alert appears in the System Status area and the alarm sounds.. Use the Alarm Icon to turn off the alarm.6Use the Previous and Next icons to: • Advance through the software screens. • Return to previously viewed software screens.                    Use the Home icon to: Return to the Home Screen. Select Next to continue.   Use the previous and next icons to advance through the software or to return to the previously viewed screens of the Dimension Vista software. The buttons at the top of the Sidebar display area provide three viewing options: Select Processing to view the status of samples that are loaded and being processed. Select Completed to view samples that have completed processing. The sample rack details screen displays details of samples processed in the selected rack.4Help Button Use the Help button to get help related to the Routine screen that is currently displayed. Some help topics provide more in depth instructions in the form of diagrams, photos, or videos. 5Favorites Button Use the Favorites button to display a list of screens frequently used by the operator who is currently logged in to the Dimension Vista® System. Select Next to continue.  Use the Favorites button to display a list of screens frequently used by the operator who was currently logged into the Dimension Vista system. 6Methods Button Use the Methods button to display a grid of test methods available on the Dimension Vista® System. The buttons at the top of the sidebar display area provide two viewing options. Select Methods to view all test methods available on the Dimension Vista system. To access routine screens select a button from the routine function menu located at the bottom of each screen. These buttons are also called first tier buttons because routine screens can have second and third tier buttons too. Base ImageHotspotsText BlocksImage FileQC Button: Displays a list of QC methods processing, QC that was performed in the last 24 hours and QC to be performed in the next 24 hours.  Results, triggers, fluid, type and reagent lot information is also listed.Calibration Button: Displays a list of calibrations processing, calibrations performed in the last 24 hours and calibrations to be performed in the next 24 hours.  Status, trigger and reagent lot information is also listed.Hydration Button: Displays the current and scheduled hydration.  Hydrations that will take place during Off-Peak Activities have a designation of predictive.IMT Button: Displays date and time of the following information: IMT calibration, sensor replacement, both Routine and Advanced clean.  Criteria are monitored and when conditions are not met a message is displayed to prompt the user to perform an IMT Advanced clean at the next sensor replacement.  This will ensure proper flow and improve performance.Off-Peak Button: The screen is divided into 2 parts: Completed Off-Peak Activities: Date and time with a list of methods calibrated and Flex cartridges hydrated. Next scheduled Off-Peak Activities: List of tasks and the methods that are to be calibrated and hydrated. In Progress: Overall workload is displayed including samples, QC and Calibrations with estimated time of completion.  A scheduling status posts when a sample is not on board or the system is "Awaiting Needs".Tests completed in last hour: Tests completed in the last hour are calculated.Vista System Start Time: Date and time of the last software restart, or if the system was paused, the message will change to read, "cuvette thermal in range in approximately minutes".  This indicated when processing can resume.Mechanism Capabilities: Relevant mechanisms are listed when they are either in yellow or red halted status.Legend: Highlighted color indicates the following: Completed = light blue Processing = dark blue Upcoming = white
